President Barack Flip-Flop Obama

The President of the United States of America is the laughing stock of the free (and oppressed) world. Somehow, as everyday passes we get a better glimpse of the joke that the American people were duped into believing, and his arrogance and naiveté becomes more of his legacy than any pseudo policy of change. Unless of course you believe that change for a weaker nation is change for the better.

In the previous weeks Obama was disgustingly silent on the issues surrounding the democratic freedoms of millions of Iranians who were being beaten, killed and silenced because of their vocal and peaceful opposition to an authoritarian government. To this the POTUS, defended his silence and lack of support by explaining that "we shouldn't meddle in the affairs of sovereign nations". Then this week he officially called for the reinstatement of Honduaran President Manuel Zelaya who was ousted by the Honduran military after both the Congress and the Supreme Court nullified an illegal referendum in which the president wanted to change the nations constitution to include ending presidential term limits. Sounds oddly familiar, Venezuela and Hugo Chavez, anyone!? So much for not meddling in the affairs of sovereign nations Mr. Obama.

The silence of Obama on a movement for freedom, and his contrasting reaction to the Honduran incident are very indicative of the ideologies he holds. It wouldn't be a far stretch point out that our president has more Marxist notions than we thought. I hope--love using that word when speaking of "the one"--and pray that his reactions to these two defining incidents are not suggestive of what is to come for America.

Adolf Hitler was a democratically elected president who with the severe manipulation of the German democracy, the silencing and eventual banning (sounds like the Fairness Doctrine!) of opposing parties views, along with the  Enabling Act and the Reichstag Fire Decree, voided presidential term limits and gained totalitarian control of a democracy and the rest is history.

Speaking of history, here is the only lesson we ever really learn: Those who ignore history are bound to repeat it.

The GOP's recurring nightmare

Gov. Mark Sanford (R-SC) is a clear example of what is wrong with the Republican party. The GOP is supposed to be the party of principle, or at least they try to sell it as that. Ask any South Carolinian two weeks ago whether they thought Gov. Sanford was a family-man and they would have probably answered with a confident "yes". Now, the national media, as well as the governor and his family have shed light on astonishing facts that he was involved in an affair and his 4 day hiatus was not the "hike in the Appalachians" as described by his staff, but a short rendezvous with a mistress in South America. What is even more astonishing is the Politico report that the governor had previously traveled to China and Brazil through the state's commerce department, logging a bill of $21,488 in travel expenses. All this from the staunches opponent of accepting funds from the federal stimulatenothing plan. I guess there would not have been no way to spend money like that if you had "strings attached to it". As for his family, they are in my prayers, and out of respect for his wife, children and the people of South Carolina, that is all that I will say about their governors indiscretion.

There seems to be this trend in the political system as of late. Especially for the Republicans. Right when they think they have what it takes to gain control of the majority, something huge like this happens. This is massive when it comes to the Party of Lincoln, because morals and ethics hugely define the party as Republicans, the other side of the aisle could care less for anything close to ethics--hell, look at President Clinton, and dare I say it, Ms. Lewinsky. It was fine and dandy then and we were quick to squash impeachment because he was a Democrat. No issues here.

Now, I will say this for the Republicans, they do have a lot of rebuilding to do, and they do have a lot of great leaders that can take the the reins on a horse perceived to have gone wild. We the people are waiting for a great leader in a time that is void of real leadership. We want our politicians to say one thing, and then have the audacity to do it. After all, we vote you into office because we believe what you say on the trail. Remember that as we race towards both the 2010 and 2012 elections.

Politicians regardless of party affiliation should also remember this. Political careers can die quickly, but "Government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from this earth."*

Janet Contreras: An Open Letter to Our Nation's Leadership

A Letter worth reading, pass it along!

An Open Letter to Our Nation's Leadership By Janet Contreras

I'm a home grown American citizen, 53, registered Democrat all my life. Before the last presidential election I registered as a Republican because I no longer felt the Democratic Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. Now I no longer feel the Republican Party represents my views or works to pursue issues important to me. The fact is I no longer feel any political party or representative in Washington represents my views or works to pursue the issues important to me. There must be someone. Please tell me who you are. Please stand up and tell me that you are there and that you're willing to fight for our Constitution as it was written. Please stand up now. You might ask yourself what my views and issues are that I would horribly feel so disenfranchised by both major political parties. What kind of nut job am I? Will you please tell me?

Well, these are briefly my views and issues for which I seek representation:

One, illegal immigration. I want you to stop coddling illegal immigrants and secure our borders. Close the underground tunnels. Stop the violence and the trafficking in drugs and people. No amnesty, not again. Been there, done that, no resolution. P.S., I'm not a racist. This isn't to be confused with legal immigration.

Two, the TARP bill, I want it repealed and I want no further funding supplied to it. We told you no, but you did it anyway. I want the remaining unfunded 95% repealed. Freeze, repeal.

Three: Czars, I want the circumvention of our checks and balances stopped immediately. Fire the czars. No more czars. Government officials answer to the process, not to the president. Stop trampling on our Constitution and honor it.

Four, cap and trade. The debate on global warming is not over. There is more to say.

Five, universal healthcare. I will not be rushed into another expensive decision. Don't you dare try to pass this in the middle of the night and then go on break. Slow down!

Six, growing government control. I want states rights and sovereignty fully restored. I want less government in my life, not more. Shrink it down. Mind your own business. You have enough to take care of with your real obligations. Why don't you start there.

Seven, ACORN. I do not want ACORN and its affiliates in charge of our 2010 census. I want them investigated. I also do not want mandatory escrow fees contributed to them every time on every real estate deal that closes. Stop the funding to ACORN and its affiliates pending impartial audits and investigations. I do not trust them with taking the census over with our taxpayer money. I don't trust them with our taxpayer money. Face up to the allegations against them and get it resolved before taxpayers get any more involved with them. If it walks like a duck and talks like a duck, hello. Stop protecting your political buddies. You work for us, the people. Investigate.

Eight, redistribution of wealth. No, no, no. I work for my money. It is mine. I have always worked for people with more money than I have because they gave me jobs. That is the only redistribution of wealth that I will support. I never got a job from a poor person. Why do you want me to hate my employers? Why ‑‑ what do you have against shareholders making a profit?

Nine, charitable contributions. Although I never got a job from a poor person, I have helped many in need. Charity belongs in our local communities, where we know our needs best and can use our local talent and our local resources. Butt out, please. We want to do it ourselves.

Ten, corporate bailouts. Knock it off. Sink or swim like the rest of us. If there are hard times ahead, we'll be better off just getting into it and letting the strong survive. Quick and painful. Have you ever ripped off a Band‑Aid? We will pull together. Great things happen in America under great hardship. Give us the chance to innovate. We cannot disappoint you more than you have disappointed us.

Eleven, transparency and accountability. How about it? No, really, how about it? Let's have it. Let's say we give the buzzwords a rest and have some straight honest talk. Please try ‑‑ please stop manipulating and trying to appease me with clever wording. I am not the idiot you obviously take me for. Stop sneaking around and meeting in back rooms making deals with your friends. It will only be a prelude to your criminal investigation. Stop hiding things from me.

Twelve, unprecedented quick spending. Stop it now.

Take a breath. Listen to the people. Let's just slow down and get some input from some nonpoliticians on the subject. Stop making everything an emergency. Stop speed reading our bills into law. I am not an activist. I am not a community organizer. Nor am I a terrorist, a militant or a violent person. I am a parent and a grandparent. I work. I'm busy. I'm busy. I am busy, and I am tired. I thought we elected competent people to take care of the business of government so that we could work, raise our families, pay our bills, have a little recreation, complain about taxes, endure our hardships, pursue our personal goals, cut our lawn, wash our cars on the weekends and be responsible contributing members of society and teach our children to be the same all while living in the home of the free and land of the brave.

I entrusted you with upholding the Constitution. I believed in the checks and balances to keep from getting far off course. What happened? You are very far off course. Do you really think I find humor in the hiring of a speed reader to unintelligently ramble all through a bill that you signed into law without knowing what it contained? I do not. It is a mockery of the responsibility I have entrusted to you. It is a slap in the face. I am not laughing at your arrogance. Why is it that I feel as if you would not trust me to make a single decision about my own life and how I would live it but you should expect that I should trust you with the debt that you have laid on all of us and our children. We did not want the TARP bill. We said no. We would repeal it if we could. I am sure that we still cannot. There is such urgency and recklessness in all of the recent spending.

From my perspective, it seems that all of you have gone insane. I also know that I am far from alone in these feelings. Do you honestly feel that your current pursuits have merit to patriotic Americans? We want it to stop. We want to put the brakes on everything that is being rushed by us and forced upon us. We want our voice back. You have forced us to put our lives on hold to straighten out the mess that you are making. We will have to give up our vacations, our time spent with our children, any relaxation time we may have had and money we cannot afford to spend on you to bring our concerns to Washington. Our president often knows all the right buzzword is unsustainable. Well, no kidding. How many tens of thousands of dollars did the focus group cost to come up with that word? We don't want your overpriced words. Stop treating us like we're morons.

We want all of you to stop focusing on your reelection and do the job we want done, not the job you want done or the job your party wants done. You work for us and at this rate I guarantee you not for long because we are coming. We will be heard and we will be represented. You think we're so busy with our lives that we will never come for you? We are the formerly silent majority, all of us who quietly work , pay taxes, obey the law, vote, save money, keep our noses to the grindstone and we are now looking up at you. You have awakened us, the patriotic spirit so strong and so powerful that it had been sleeping too long. You have pushed us too far. Our numbers are great. They may surprise you. For every one of us who will be there, there will be hundreds more that could not come. Unlike you, we have their trust. We will represent them honestly, rest assured. They will be at the polls on voting day to usher you out of office. We have cancelled vacations. We will use our last few dollars saved. We will find the representation among us and a grassroots campaign will flourish. We didn't ask for this fight. But the gloves are coming off. We do not come in violence, but we are angry. You will represent us or you will be replaced with someone who will. There are candidates among us when hewill rise like a Phoenix from the ashes that you have made of our constitution.

Democrat, Republican, independent, libertarian. Understand this. We don't care. Political parties are meaningless to us. Patriotic Americans are willing to do right by us and our Constitution and that is all that matters to us now. We are going to fire all of you who abuse power and seek more. It is not your power. It is ours and we want it back. We entrusted you with it and you abused it. You are dishonorable. You are dishonest. As Americans we are ashamed of you. You have brought shame to us. If you are not representing the wants and needs of your constituency loudly and consistently, in spite of the objections of your party, you will be fired. Did you hear? We no longer care about your political parties. You need to be loyal to us, not to them. Because we will get you fired and they will not save you. If you do or can represent me, my issues, my views, please stand up. Make your identity known. You need to make some noise about it. Speak up. I need to know who you are. If you do not speak up, you will be herded out with the rest of the sheep and we will replace the whole damn congress if need be one by one. We are coming. Are we coming for you? Who do you represent? What do you represent? Listen. Because we are coming. We the people are coming.

Iran--the preview.

Although all candidates in Iran are "vetted" by the Mullahs and hand chosen by religious clerics who compose the Assembly of Experts, their version of democracy is far from the purpose of a democracy. To provide government that is of, by and for the people.

Iran has kicked out all foreign media, attempted to block all internet communications, text-messaging and violently responded to non-violent protestors that are calling out the deception laid out by the bogus election.

With that aside, Barack Obama's silence on the struggle for the Iranian people's freedom is deafening. I guess you can't say much when you envy a government that has total control over it's people, and tramples their liberties. Is this what he meant by diplomacy?

We are well on our way to Iranian-style state-run media. ABC is even launching an infomercial in an attempt to sell socialized, one-party, anti-capitalist "reformed" healthcare. They are even using the White House as the "newsroom". No wonder the one--err, I mean--the president loves these guys. They are in the boat for him. Chris Matthews has even said that he believes it is his job to make the Obama presidency "work...work successfully"! No Mr. Matthews, the job of a true journalist is to be as far away from the political establishment as possible so that you are credible when you hold them accountable.

The Problem with Palin.

Gov. Sarah Palin (R-AK) presents an unusual problem to the liberal agenda championed by the Democratic party.

She isn't afraid to challenge authority even within her own party. A politician who happens to be a woman that has the courage to oppose unethical practices regardless of party affiliation is someone to reckon with. Liberals do not like people who are able to stand on their own. They take pride in forcing others to "believe" in slogans like "hope".

She can maintain a balanced budget, and generate a surplus then have the brains to give it back to the people. She can manage a budget the way we are expected to within our own homes. This is a tenet not shared by liberals.

She perpetuates a favorable liking among her constituents, the people of Alaska. She can govern and does it well enough that she emulates the founding principle of "government for, by, and of the people". Liberalism teaches us thing like "From each according to his ability, to each according to his need." Classic Marxism--it does not work.

She is pro-gun, and not just in policy but in action. She is a lifetime member of the NRA, an avid hunter, and an advocate of the second amendment--our first fundamental right. Liberals cannot see a socialistic society come to fruition if the people are armed. Our constitution guarantees us this right, as the last defense against fascism.

She is pro-life. Now let's not misconstrue the term to be pro-perfect. She believes in the right to life with enough conviction that although it might be politically unpopular, she time and again has proven this--through both her family, and her governing.

She is a good-looking conservative woman--refer to post Conservative Women vs. Liberal Ones, 6/7/09. Enough said.

She is a woman that happens to believe in the Constitution of the United States, and she is CONSERVATIVE. Any politician who happens to be liberal and female would never have undergone the same ruthless treatment Gov. Palin has. The media would not have allowed it, there would have been public outcry, and the sky would have fallen.

The list could go on.

Guess that explains why David Letterman is getting a pass on suggesting that her 14 year old daughter was "knocked-up" by Alex Rodriguez in the 7th inning; referred to the governors appearance as "a slutty stewardess"; and on and on and on. He is a fine specimen of why comedians should be that. Comedians, not political activist.

It's actually disgusting to think about the inferences Letterman crafted. Makes me think of a sick old womanizer, that happens to get his rocks off on pedophiliac thoughts aimed at the children of conservative women.

Way to go old man!

Happy Birthday America!

The Declaration of Independence of the United States of America guarantees the citizens of this nation rights that are "endowed by their creator" which are "inalienable".  This is the reason why the U.S. continues to be the brightest beacon of freedom and liberty that has ever shone.

We are the only civilization in the history of the world that is guided by these unalienable rights. Rights that are given to us directly from our creator and not from the government. We as a people are accountable to our faith and safeguarding those rights we hold sacred such as life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, and that the government is accountable to it's people.

The realization that our rights are not given to us by the government stands in stark contrast to the tenants outlined in any communist manifesto, or socialist agenda. This is the reason those forms of government have failed time and time again. Socialistic government forces the people to believe that their rights are gifted to them by their government, and that they are totally and fully accountable and in service to it. History has taught us that government which believes it is big enough to give you everything, will eventually view itself as big enough to take everything.

Happy Independence day America!

Conservative women compared to liberal ones.

This entry is going to be a little bit on the light-hearted side of things.

You can almost always tell a conservative woman from a liberal one. Even before they express their views. It's just a pattern I noticed, and I though I'd share it with you. You decide for yourself.

I do believe that because liberalism is based on always playing the victim, ruthlessly blaming others for your own mistakes, and misguided, unrealistic and extremely idiotic views, that defending liberalism(as hi-jacked by American politics) tends to "age" people.

Conservative and classy seem to go hand in hand.

Here's some proof.

Click it for a larger view, but be warned, it aint' always as pretty as it seems.

Senate confirms override of Bredesen veto.

The Tennessee legislature has voted to override Gov. Phil Bredesen's (D) veto of HB0962 which allows handgun permit holders the right to lawfully carry their firearms in establishments that serve alcohol for consumption as long as the citizen is licensed to carry and not consuming alcohol. This measure further solidifies the second amendment rights of Tennesseans.

The house passed the measure on Wednesday by a margin of 69-27. The senate passed the override today by a margin of 21-9. According to the Tennessee Constitution, an override of a veto only requires a simple majority vote in each chamber. The bill passed both times with overwhelming support in each chamber.

The measure is a strong message of confidence in responsible Tennesseans who are law-abiding citizens. 35 other states have similar laws including 6 that border the state, with no incidence of abuse by licensed permit holders. It's about time we get some common sense legislation.

This common sense law will go into effect July 14, 2008 per Tennessee state law.

Now act this way.

Commendable Quote of the Day:

"We will, however, relentlessly confront violent extremists who pose a grave threat to our security. Because we reject the same thing that people of all faiths reject -- the killing of innocent men, women and children. And it is my first duty as president to protect the American people."

-President Obama, in his speech to the Muslim World, Cairo, Egypt.

TN House OVERRIDES Governors veto of HB0962

The Tennessee House of Representatives re-passed HB0962, the "restaurant carry bill", by a vote of 69-27 to override the veto handed down by Gov. Phil Bredesen.

The bill which passed the senate by a vote of 26-7 before being sent to the governor which he vetoed, needs only a majority vote in both chambers of the assembly according to the state constitution.

Thank you to all of our representatives that have kept the balance of power in tact in the state of Tennessee. The bill which initially passed with more than a 2/3 vote of support in both houses, now awaits it's second vote in the senate.

To our senators, vote to override. Respect the constitutional right of Tennesseans.

We need more representation like this...

Just want to thank Rep. Curry Todd (R-Collierville) for sponsoring HB0962, the "restaraunt carry bill" and heading up the override of the veto sent down from Gov. Bredesen in a swift and timely manner.

We have the votes in both chambers of the Tennessee legislature to ensure that the second amendment rights of all Tennesseans are protected.

Commendable quote of the day:

" I won't tell you what the governor can do with that piece of  paper he just sent"
-Rep. Todd's response to the veto.

We definitely need more politicians like Todd, who are not afraid to really represent their constituents.

Iran and peaceful nuclear aspirations

In an interview with the BBC, President Obama said that Iran has a right to nuclear energy explaining that "Iran has legitimate energy concerns, legitimate aspirations" and that they should be able to develop nuclear technologies if it is to be used in a peaceful way.

Has the President of the United States lost his damn mind!

What would it take show that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, has peaceful intentions in developing nuclear energy? Perhaps, a "cross my heart, hope to die, poke a needle in my eye," or how about just a pinky swear?

Ahmadinejad, denies the holocaust, wishes for the annihilation of the Jewish community, has verbally expressed an interest in "wiping Israel of the map", and is the leader of a rogue government that is at it's core anti-American--with the expressed interest of wiping America and other non-muslim nations off the face of the earth. Yes, I am sure that the nuclear aspirations of Iran is not anything but a peaceful attempt to wean their country of it's money-making addiction to oil.

During the campaign, President Obama was committed to seeing to it that Iran does not have access to nuclear technology, and was adamant that they halt their development of nuclear abilities. Why the sudden change of heart? Something tells me that it has a lot to do with the next apology tour he is about to embark on, his tour of the muslim world. Whoever his adviser is should probably advise him of what a weak fool they perceive him and essentially America as,  because of his administrations cowardly words and actions.

Does anyone in Washington D.C. realize that the "quest for nuclear energy" is the same story Kim Jong Il, the dictator of North Korea told the world when it began developing it's nuclear facilities. Now we are faced with a North Korea that views itself as a nuclear power, and they are blatantly flexing their muscles at a weak administration. The threatening actions by North Korea in the first few months of the Obama presidency outnumber the negative activities executed by Kim Jong Il than in the entire Bush administrations eight years. Go figure. Let's not forget that Korea is now within striking distance of the United States.

President Obama, this time please do not apologize for the U.S., we have long endured the battle scars essential to liberty both here at home, and in the greater world. We have a lot of things to be proud of. Your apologies and apathy towards America's historical significance are not one of them.
